Hiring manager review page
A hiring manager review page is a single web page, accessible by URL with no login, that lets a hiring manager review a candidate sent by a recruiter and react inside the page — sentiment, stage moves, questions, candidate email.
Short definition
A hiring manager review page is a single web page — accessible by URL with no login — that lets a hiring manager review a candidate sent by a recruiter and react inside the page. Typical reactions include sentiment scoring, stage moves, asking questions, and emailing the candidate directly.
A hiring manager review page is the surface the hiring manager actually sees when a recruiter shares a candidate. It is the consumer-facing half of a candidate submission portal: a single URL, no login, no software install, no learning curve. The page is designed for someone who will spend two minutes here, not someone who is going to learn a system.
What it usually shows
The page is opinionated about what matters in the first 30 seconds and what can wait. The first scroll is for context — who the candidate is and why they are being submitted. The deeper sections are for evidence — resume, video, scorecard.
- Identity card — name, role, current employer, location
- Why-great-fit narrative — the recruiter's plain-English case in 2-3 sentences
- Scorecard — pass / fail / unsure per requirement, overall rating
- Resume or CV, viewable inline
- Optional video clips or audio
- Reaction surface — sentiment, stage moves, questions, email-the-candidate
Why no login
The hiring manager already has a job, and reviewing candidates is a small slice of it. Asking them to create an account, remember a password, install software, or learn an interface is friction that kills review rates. The login-free pattern is the single most important design decision in this category.
Where Submio fits
Submio's review page lives at /r/[token]. No login, one-click reactions, and the email-candidate button opens the hiring manager's own mail client with the recruiter auto-CC'd — so the conversation thread lives in the hiring manager's inbox where they already work.
